Everything takes a dangerous turn, and you find yourself in the presence of an escaped test subject from the Higher Order Lifeform Labs. Your path abruptly shifts and you find yourself at the mercy of this incredible creature, and he does indeed change your life from that point on. You learn about him, about what he's 'composed of'. Astarion is a beautiful and young bachelor in the city of Baldur's Gate, something many people--including the famed constable Cazador Szarr--seek to claim for themselves. Despite all of this attention though, headstrong Astarion is focused on a singular task: his studies of magic under the master Gale Dekarios. Deep down he wishes for something more adventurous, less provincial, especially as Cazador's advances begin to grow increasingly aggressive. He just might get what he wishes for and more though, when Gale Dekarios disappears along the cursed land near the abandoned Moonrise Towers. It isn't long before Astarion comes face to face with the beast that lives there in order to save his beloved teacher, all to find that the monster may not be all that he appears.

Slate frantically ran up the stairs towards the observatory, looking around.
“Mica?” Mica was also just as shaken.
“Slate? What was that?” Their face was frightened as they stared at them.
“I don’t-”
But they cut themselves off as they heard something… almost like whispering at first. But it was getting louder, and Slate realized it sounded like whooshing air.
And what was that bright, blue light?
And why was it getting hotter all of a sudden?
Slate suddenly gasped as a roar washed over them. They frantically looked around them, seeing that the sky was too bright. Impossibly so. It lit up the entire night sky so much that they couldn't see the stars anymore.
But then, it was gone.
Slate stared in confusion and terror at the sky for a few seconds, as if they were waiting for the strange light to return, before they tilted their head back down and looked around frantically.

This map was detailed —not as detailed as the Circus —but detailed enough to forget that you were code: a series of zeros and ones, not a person living and breathing in a world you couldn't even comprehend (because the binary wouldn't let you).
