Summary
It’s so quiet in space. Lance thinks he might be going insane. He wonders, not for the first time, how Voltron is doing without him. He hears whispers of his old team, sometimes; fighting Haggar’s Robeasts all across the universe, never gaining any ground. He’s glad they’ve found a new pilot to replace him as the Red Paladin. It hurts that they never came to look for him, but Lance understands. Introspection has become a byproduct of existing and he’s been alone with his thoughts for four months.
So yeah, Lance understands.

Keith pushes Red’s throttle to full, and the Lion goes into overburn on her own. He knows it’s foolish to waste so much energy on the search—especially here, especially now—but he’s getting desperate, and so is she. Lance is her paladin, not him. He’s just a stand-in. Really, he always was.
“C’mon, Lance, where are you?” he asks. The emptiness, as always, doesn’t answer.
Keith’s clock, set to earth standard time, chimes midnight. It’s been six months and thirteen days since Lance was taken—but for Keith, it’s been over two years.
He knows the only reason the Paladins haven’t found Lance yet is because they weren’t looking.

"Clutching desperately to his skull, Keith focused on breathing, he needed to breathe. It started shallow, swimming in his throat. One. Then deeper in his chest. Two. The room kept screaming. His pulse tore through his whole body, thumping: one, two, three. Still beating. He whispered into the mattress: One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three…
Slowly, the cleaning drones’ mechanical whirring softened. His arms grew heavy and fell off his head, leaving two nasty almost-holes behind his ears, still hot. Keith surrendered to exhaustion just in time to not notice his phone light a halo around the wall: 02:24 G-Mail. New message from Lance Mcclain ([email protected])"There are only six more days until the start of a new semester at the Garrison Institute, and Keith can't shake this lump in his throat. The Kerberos mission is on track and, despite two looming unread emails, things seem to be pretty... okay?
Even still, Keith can't stop thinking: "What the fuck am I going to do with the gun?"
That lump just won't go away.

The planet needed rescuing bc they used time/ Kronos tech to keep it from exploding and the tech was damaged by a galra raid causing the tech to switch from a year from planet explosion loop to a week before planet explosion loop causing explosions on the surfaceand the planet had a large explosion and time reset near the blue lion and damaged blue’s shield but because the reset was broken it sent them back to when the shield was last used/opened instead of a week before
So they woke up on earth
before they found blue and before Shiro landed
With their past selves still in the garrisonHijinks Issue

Adam stayed quiet, looking at him with an expression that Shiro couldn't quite place, and didn't want to.Haunted by the past and what could have been, a grieving Shiro attempts to rebuild his life months after the Battle for Earth and years after his ex-fiance Adam's death. However, when a distress signal is received and Voltron answers a call for aid, what was once believed lost is found, and Adam, who was believed to be dead returns to the living, with a young girl by his side, scarred and traumatized. Returning to Earth leaves the group at crossroads, where relationships are forever changed....for good or worse.

Keith’s room is a box made of windows. Clear walls on all sides, so he can be observed from any angle. He imagines it’s a little like living in a zoo, except in zoos, the animals usually have a place to go if they don’t feel like being seen.
He has a bed though. Or a bunk, rather, attached to one wall. And blankets. He normally sleeps underneath it these days, in a blanket cocoon. They haven’t punished him for it yet.

Shiro’s body leaned heavily against the cold wall, his breath harsh. The echos of sentries walking bounced off of the halls, and rang around his skull, each footstep sending sharp pain throughout his head.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – he can’t remember how he got out, how did he get out – 6, 7, 8 – go, go now. He ran around a corner and pressed himself against a wall fixture, just as another group of sentries passed his previous hiding spot. His vision was blurring, the lights starbursting across his eyes, and his thoughts were slipping, slipping… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. He moves again. Slowly making his way through the hallways, dancing around rotations of sentries. 1, 2, 3, 4 – a memory stabs through his mind, the picture, albeit painful, provides him with a better sense of direction. 5, 6, 7 – a quick flash, from a ground-level perspective, being dragged past them, but it’s all he needs. – 8 – He turns to the left, this time having a clear destination, the escape pods.
