This series began as an embellished chronicle of my first playthrough of Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, with an emphasis on the surviving children's reactions to character deaths caused by the Soul Cannon. Since then, it has become more of a ‘what-if’ scenario where Malt gets taken down a peg and his standing as a leader is challenged many times. People will die, children will cry, and if Malt isn’t thoroughly broken by the end, I don’t know what would.
