The world is ending: Tony is evil, Steve is old. So there's nothing to stop him from making the (terrible) decision to travel back in time in a last-ditch effort to spare them both: by killing Tony's past self to spare them both from ending up where they've ended up. The Universe has other plans. An honest-to-god fix-it for Superior Iron Man, Hickman's entire run, and pretty much everything since Tony decided it was a good idea to take Extremis way back in 2005.

Post-Homecoming. Peter Parker is trying to tenuously navigate life as Spider-Man now that Aunt May knows the truth. But when he is abducted and brutally tortured for information on the Avengers by a rogue NYPD cop, Peter deals poorly with the psychological aftermath of the event and sets out to find his own kind of justice. It's another, and completely unrelated tragedy, and the continued support of Aunt May and Tony Stark, that help him rebuild a healthy mentality and regain some of what he had lost. Fills the imagined gap between Homecoming and Infinity War. Spoilers for Spider-Man Homecoming. Violence/whump, a trigger warning will appear prior to a chapter that references suicide of another character. PREVIOUSLY posted on fan fiction (dot) net as a non-chronological, non-linear story. This is technically a rewrite.
