Vincent’s feet were on the ground. He was staring down at the small bundle of jackets in his arms. Little legs dangled over the crook of his right elbow as he drew whatever he was holding closer to his chest. And it was whatever- you knew by that familiar sweet smell that had been clinging to you for a year and change now. Whatever Vincent was holding stopped being a who hours ago.

Bright stays up to see Vincent and Sam home after the inversion event. Perhaps the beginning of a multi chapter piece continuing the storyline for Bright and Freddy as I would have liked it to shake out. No promises I can actually write at any given time, tho. -

He was unempowered before he became a vampire. He wouldn’t be able to help them cope with this certain brand of emptiness that came with their change, but Sam could.
