For those who don't know, Earth 3 is a DC Comics canon alternate universe where the moral opposites of the characters we know and love live. Owlman is that universe's Bruce Wayne - a feared crime lord who makes Patrick Bateman look tame. His arch nemesis is the Joke(ste)r, a former comedian turned vigilante who fights crime with gag-themed props and SHEER AWESOME.

As you may know, Duela Dent AKA The Joker's Daughter, is one of my favorite characters. A teenage anti-hero Joker is just such a good idea. I have no idea why DC doesn't use her in this capacity. In current continuity the character is pretty much retired. Well, she is a version of the Joker or a Joker imposter as some might consider her, so I guess she is an acquired taste.

Okay, the episode called The Killing Vote on the Harley Quinn show where Joker ran for mayor and beat Jim Gordon and Two-Face just to one-up the woman at the PTA who hated his step kids, made me really want to see a Joker spin-off, so I decided to write a story imagining what that might look like.
Summary: After royally messing up a Q&A on the Harley Quinn show by complaining about being typecast and having Harley herself stop it so that her show doesn't get cancelled, Joker discovers that his wife and children have been kidnapped. With a tip from an anonymous contact, he goes to the dark multiverse to rescue them.
I'm an Elseworlds fan, so this story is probably going to be a bit strange.
Feel free to leave comments. You can criticize this as much as you want.
Joker and Harley are not paired together in this one, but there is mention of it in the past.
Sorry Joker fans, but the Joker is probably going to come out of this looking like a terrible person. I can't do the Joker/Harley abusive relationship canon without him looking like a jerk, even when I want to show off his "good" qualities, sorry.
There is profanity and some violence.

Summary
The Gotham TV show had so much potential. I'm not super happy with what we ended up with considering how deep and rich the lore of the comics it was supposedly based off of is. I decided to try my hand at it and see if I can do any better.
So, here's the premise. This version of Gotham takes place in the dark multiverse. Bruce Wayne's older brother, Thomas Wayne Jr., was locked away in an asylum, not Arkham, but Jerome Valeska breaks him out as part of a scheme to get Bruce Wayne for humiliating him, and hopefully we'll have appearances from many of the major villains as I research them and put them where they'll best fit. I hope to also have cameos from Earth 3 characters, too. The Earth 3 Joker (Jokester) is probably one of my favorite characters because the main series comics and movies show him very little love, so forgive me if I overuse him in this fic to make up for mostly not seeing him in the official properties.

Having been kicked out of HIVE and having no reason to want their destruction, Duela fully intends to just hang out with her new friend and not cause trouble but after borrowing a book on wish granting spells, she quickly changes her mind.
