Summary
The rescue mission to infiltrate the Presidential bunker has lasted well over three hours and people are getting restless. Not only was it made difficult because the whole damn building had sunk underground, but Wing Zero crash landing on the thing hadn’t made it any easier. The first wave of the rescue team had been lowered down with rappelling ropes to see to any injuries. While the second rescue team had been in charge of creating a makeshift elevator and pulley system to raise the survivors.
The days following Mariemaia's attempted coup leave the world in flux. The Gundam pilots remain in Brussels, awaiting debriefing and trying to decide how to move forward while recovering from the unexpected battle.

Quatre stood watching, sipping a fruit punch that miraculously had not been spiked by Duo, letting himself sense what was going on.
There was Treize's stepfather chatting with some business people near Dorothy. Treize had a persistent intrusive thought about pushing him down the stairs. It was something Treize didn't want to actually do, but it was intrusive, and he knew it for its pointlessness. There was the Sanc Ambassador who was chatting Dorothy up quite animatedly, all bubbly hope that he might get to sleep with her.
There was Dorothy who was having none of that, her mind sharp and analytical, registering the people she needed to speak to, noting who others were speaking to and logging it in a way that was all too familiar.

That's all we need from you, the plans for making the Zero module. But you have done nothing towards it at all. We told you the consequences would be dire. I get you don't give a shit about your own prisoners - OZ never has been good at that, so maybe you value your own comfort more."
The man lifted the metal baton and let electricity arc at the end, just for show.
Treize felt the muscle in his left cheek jump, reflexive fear, he knew. Just fear. He could live through fear and pain. "It's the classic prisoner's dilemma, isn't it? Did you study much game theory in your life? If I defect, who dies?"

I know that as of Frozen Teardrop, Heero and Relena (supposedly?) are together. I wrote this fanfic, set in AC198, at least ten years ago based on a dream that I had about the anime. I'll be posting it little by little, mistakes and all.
Quatre is the recipient of the "mild violence" in Chapter 9. He will get rescued.
Taken from its first chapter:
"One year had gone by since the last time they had seen each other face to face, since the people of Earth and of the colonies had made a true peace with each other.
Things had changed. It was safe to walk on the streets again. It was all right to voice one's opinions in public again. It was perfectly okay to live.
But Heero had always been suspicious of this new existence. It was too peaceful. Those suspicions had led him to a new path, a new adventure, and the young woman next to him, wanting a break from her predictable new life, had decided to join him on that path...."

Mobile Suit Gundam was created by Hajime Yadate and Yoshiyuki Tomino. The characters are being borrowed for this story.
Basically...."Young" Heero Darlian, Heero and Relena's son, has to deal with losing both of his parents. Fortunately, Quatre is there for him to lean on. And it seems that the boy's parents have left their son things to read...and something to hold on to for the future.
Note: This fanfic makes references to things that are better explained in my "Mission Accepted" fanfic.
