Scout struggles to sleep due to being too cold in Sniper's rickety ass van and the distracting noises coming from the back stopping him from being able to sleep.

Scout wasn’t particularly lucky, nor was he a total failure. Just a guy with some bugs in his head, always on the run, and a habit of talking first and thinking later. And yet, luck followed him like a shadow—too often, too precisely, as if some higher hand was nudging events along. Too often to be coincidence.
Doesn’t God love everyone equally?
— Of course He does, — that’s what they say in Sunday school. But then Scout falls off a roof and lands right on a bunch of mattresses that no one remembers putting there. Storms in one-against-three and somehow wins without lifting a finger. Closes a café after a night shift and magically finds a new job with better pay. Thinks about wanting something specific—and poof, there it is, right in front of him.
Scout would’ve laughed it off. He took it for granted. You just say it, and bam. He would’ve said something like, “I’m just that awesome, that’s all!”
But somewhere—in that far-off place where coincidences aren’t born—someone smiles just a little too wide.

Basically Scout joins the team, gets fucking paralyzed, but the team feels bad and also needs the teammate so they do what they can to make him some fake legs. He took it hard, but had no time to :( with how much he was bounced around people and then he was happy with the finished product. Yippiii
Also I hard such a hard time focusing on Scout and Scout alone, so there's a lot of other characters outside of just inclusion. (As in some of them have like internal conflict or whatever going on)

This is a more story based fanfic. Be warned by the tags.
Scout is the first merc to find his female counter but unlucky for him she is on the enemy's team.
It doesn't take long for them to meet and the connection between the two grows. However - not only to blame scouts' sucky flirtation skills - she seems more distant and fearful when her team's Soldier is around.
It'll take a dark turn or two, I'm not sure where this work is going to end but this won't be the romcom of the century. People will get hurt, forced, abused and bruised and that secretly that's how I like it. So if you are curious as to how the two fast boston runners try to get a better fate, then read on and give a comment or a kudo if you want more.

Constructive criticism very much wanted
RED team arrives to one of their bases on a rainy night. It was a rather small (and cheaply made) ocean platform of steel, but it was really only to house the Mercenaries temporarily, just a single night at a time. The small trawler could only last so long against the great Atlantic.
A loud noise later on in the evening woke everyone up, it came from down below. The engineer walked down to the boiler room to check if it broke.
He didn't come back a few minutes later. Scout is soon sent down. He wished he stayed with everyone else.
