Bucky’s hands were warm and solid against his body, strong palms smoothing down over the suit, fingers hooking under the straps that secured the wing pack, tucking the zippers into the small pockets Shuri had left for him, to prevent them from flapping around. It was probably a little ridiculous that he insisted on doing it, considering that the only other time Sam had a chance to wear the suit previously, he had managed to secure it just fine himself, but… it was Bucky. And they were about to face someone who could be so much more dangerous than the Flagsmashers. Who was he to deprive Bucky of whatever allowed him to feel in control of the situation?
“You’re good.” His voice murmured in Sam’s ear, just low enough to send a shiver down his spine.
He turned, just in time to catch some of Bucky’s warmth on his front, and to see him move back, dropping his hands from Sam’s waist to shove in his pockets.
