The Baudelaires cause trouble wherever they go, but they seemed to cause the least trouble when under the care of Prufolk Prepatory - so Mr Poe makes the obvious decision to continue sending them into the care of institutions. The Magnus Institute is calm, safe, interesting for the curious minds of the Baudelaires and, most importantly, far away from the US and Count Olaf. The children quickly discover the Archives and the unique people who work there - so, however, does their enemy.
