    The story is focused around slow progression of relationship between Mal0 and first person protagonist Anon.
    Since most information about Mal0 is [REDACTED], there is a lot of artistic freedom to invent the reason behind her existence. I'm trying to stay true to the rules of the bond she has with her host while creating some new ones to spice things up.
    Anon slowly uncovers the mystery behind his love-deprived stalker who yearns for nothing more than a friend, learns to accept her into his life and maybe someday... goes a little further than that.

    Two years ago, I couldn't find a single, long, fully fleshed out romantic story that wasn't half done and abandoned, so I began writing one. Initially, it was just for myself but since I already wrote a big chunk of it and I'm confident in finishing it, I thought I might start posting it here. Maybe someone will enjoy reading it as much as I do writing it :)
    The first chapters might go through some revisions once I'm finished, to match the writing style of later chapters (I've been writing this for 2 years with pauses), but the core will remain the same.

    If only Tommy could believe that. Not all of the Red on his hands is blood, but it barely helps. His life at the SCP Foundation is routine: white walls and bland ‘food’ broken up only by visits with Philza if he’s lucky, doctors and researchers if he isn’t, and The Blade if he’s really, really unlucky. Survival has a cost, but rarely is it one he himself pays, and the guilt of what he's done is almost enough to convince Tommy that the Foundation is right to lock up dangerous anomalies like him.

    But then one day a bee appeared in his cell. That’s not to say things got better, but, well, they certainly weren’t so mundane anymore.

    Its descent began with a burst of light, then a streak of flames ripping across the sky, then a shockwave, before finally slamming into the earth. The impact it made was comparable to the largest of bombs. Scorched trees, dirt uplifted, and a pillar of smoke. Meter-long runes were branded into the earth around the crater, their meaning unknown but having close similarity to runes used in the worship of demonic entities. Specifically, the worship of Abaddon.

    In the centre of it all, kneeling around ash and dirt was a machine of blue and yellow.

    It slowly rose.

     

    Then was immediately shot, immobilised, and contained.

    That word should be comforting. But down there, in the Bay of Bengal, clarity usually means something terribly wrong.
    “No vertigo?” I ask. “No auditory shifts? No… presence?”
    A pause.
    One of the other voices comes through – younger, quieter. “Ma’am, it’s like being inside a regular trench. Cold. Wet. That’s it.”
    Another voice cuts in – rougher, more uncertain.
    “She’s not here.”
    I freeze. “Repeat that?”
    The diver swallows, audibly.
    “She’s gone.”

     

    You’ve worked at Site-19 for seven years. Level 4 clearance. Calm under pressure. Mostly sane.
    Then SCP-3000 disappears.
    Y-909 stops working.
    And the man who last fed it starts whispering to the walls.
    Now you're being promoted to Level 5 — temporarily. Interviewing unstable SCPs, reporting anomalies, and pretending you don’t see the file that appeared on your laptop:
