He doesn't anticipate being assaulted within seconds of arrival, visions of strange physical distortions affecting his body, or the lingering feeling that something fundamental has gone very awry. He certainly does not expect the Boss to abruptly join him in person, appearing to be terribly upset about something he won't name, even to his most devoted subordinate.
If Doppio knew a little more about his inherent biological and psychological nature then all of this would add up to something very worrying indeed. As it stands, it is simply yet another reason why taking time off is for slackers and traitors, and should best be avoided.
