Summary

Only days have passed in this timeline since the fight that had him hitchhiking to California. Now he has four years at Stanford University to prepare for seeing his brother and hunting again.
But things will be different this time, and not just because Sam is taking courses that will help him in hunting. He's making the strangest assortment of friends, finding allies in tricksters, witches, demons, and nature spirits.
And that's without even looking at Loki. And... his kids.

Or something like that. Merlin wasn’t that good at lip-reading and Arthur’s lips could be distracting. Maybe he wasn’t mouthing ‘dove’, he was saying… Well, not love, obviously… He was saying come! Like, repeating that Merlin should be joining them.
Yes. Absolutely.

Evie was born with fire in her eyes and a witch’s mark on her thigh.
Her mother was a witch, and her mother’s mother as well. When she was banished to the Isle of the Lost, the Evil Queen managed to save two things- the last remaining shard of the magic mirror, and her grandmother’s grimoire.
{This is not a story about good witches}.
The Evil Queen lived up to her title, most of the time. She wasn’t afraid to starve her daughter {the most powerful magic is born out of pain, not comfort} so that Evie would be as beautiful as the faded picture of her step-daughter. She had no qualms with smacking the girl across the face, hard, just so long as it didn’t bruise {well, even bruising wasn’t too terrible- concealer and foundation were easy enough to make, for a witch}.
