His once enviously beautiful hair had since become matted with sand and dirt, the healthy glow of his skin now a ghostly pallor. The skilled hands that used to so elegantly play whatever instrument placed in his grasp, now permanently scarred and forever oozing with blood, regret, and shame, never to heal.
