      Kudos to you.

      I really like stories where the Avengers genuinely like Loki despite the World Take-over. Y'know, like despite them not knowing that Loki was tortured into leading the invasion, they still manage to connect with him and build a relationship.
      Then, the 'torture-mind control-losing was my plan' part comes later, and it's all the more delicious, because now there's already that emotional connection, and ecerybody gets to have their base beliefs and cautions absolutely destroyed.

      Anyway, this was fantastic! I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for writing this wonderful story. ^^

Spent all his time missing Mickey, but trying to forget he ever existed. At the time, it seemed the best thing for both of them. Allowing a clean break, letting them both move on.

    Turns out that ‘moving on’ is a little different when one person is locked up.

    Ian swallows, wiping at a tear before it has time to fall. “I know.”

    “See, this is fucking why I didn’t want to talk about this.” Mickey mutters, shuffling closer in an attempt to console and help.
