And Bob… Well, Cole definitely could have been kinder to him. He's lucky that Bob is a gentle giant and didn't snap him in two the second they were in the same room together.

And yet they’d run into one; a Chinese woman, still blinking the cryosleep from her eyes, had found herself at the business end of three Talon rifles in the middle of her first waking day in god knows how long. You smiled. The very same expression you always had when dealing with difficult clients. Your tone remained calm and even, as if you were simply explaining the concepts of the world to a particularly obtuse child.
"As I wrote in the memo sent to the Council two weeks ago, the budget plan for the upcoming quarter will include a decrease in funding across all divisions. Your Research and Development Division will not be excluded, Doctor O'Deorain."
Her eyes narrowed, and you could see the flames of hell dancing within them. Moira was looming over your desk now, using her height to intimidate you into compliance. “I've heard no such thing.”
You raised an eyebrow. "Did you read your emails, or did you ignore them as you are wont to do?”
"I filter irrelevant communications out."
Of course, the woman ignored the email that would inconvenience her. Did she honestly believe that Talon would fund her forever? That she was above cutbacks and budget concerns?

Growing up as the child of two upper-level researchers under Overwatch was hard. It was made even harder by the fact you were raised away from your family, a decision your parents made to keep you safe.
The Fall of Overwatch made you an orphan, and for five years you lived without it casting its shadow over your life. On the anniversary of the destruction of the Swiss Base it all comes crashing down, the careful precautions all evaporating over night when Talon tries to capture you for an unknown cause. Now you're stuck, unraveling the secrets and riddles your parents left behind while working with their old colleagues and friends.
All that's left is to rebuild the organization that stole your family and your childhood, dragging you back into the world your parents tried so hard to keep you out of.

Though it begins with her joining Blackwatch, there will be some references to her past and (what I think) her family and family life was like. I will be trying to remain as canon compliant as possible, but please understand that I have my biases.
