Once he knew where to find the shiny new birdy if he wanted, Jason figured he could leave his replacement alone. He had bigger birds to fry right now (flightless arctic ones, in specific). But the last few times Jason had caught sight of Batman and Robin out on patrol, the cuckoo bird had seemed… off. Subdued, less likely to poke fun at the baddies, and almost silent when it was just him and Bruce alone.
Jason had decided to swing by the Drakes’ neighborhood in Old Gotham to see if he could get an idea of what was up — not because he was worried about the Walmart-brand Robin, alright? He was just… assessing the enemy. Gathering intel.

Bruce chuckled lowly and clapped Jim Gordon on the back. “Now, Jim. I can’t be the only one with a healthy check-book willing to help out the police when they need it. I remember plenty of donations at the last charity ball for the force, if memory serves.”

Danny is forced to abandon his college English paper one morning when he denies a call to summon his ghost half. Sadly, though, as he dodges the summons to whatever and whoever, he felt it snag the closest ghostly being in his area instead. No way his ghost core was gonna let that go. They could handle finding him under the coffee table, and even on one of the shelves of Jasons favorite library. On top of a closed toilet seat was pushing it, but not the end of the world.They had to draw a line somewhere, however, and that line just so happened to be when they found him on top of the refrigerator.
