Frederick looked up, but Orpheus had already begun walking away, each footstep sounding like a soft key pressed on a piano lid. As he turned the corner, he paused once, looking back just long enough to say:

when the wachoski family find shadow and bring him home to nurse him to health, the family is quickly reminded of the awkwardness after the recent events.. and sonic is overcome with the urge to watch shadow like a hawk (or an owl) as he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt again. also… did he mention these new nightmares? he couldn’t sleep a wink anyways.
shadow is feeling guilty for taking up space in the home, and is angry at sonic for being so forgiving. he wants sonic to be angry, hurt… but sonic wants him around, accepts him with open arms.
shadow doesn’t know how to handle that.

Ryan opens his front door to find a new emotion unlocked. Annoyance.
