Summary
You make the mistake of making a wish for new experiences. The giant dragon granted it, leaving you stranded in a bar, in space, to fend for yourself. You didn't realize earthlings were considered exotic until it was too late, getting kidnapped from your friendly band of nomads. You are now at the one place you were told not to go, in King Cold's forces, kneeling before him as you're pawned off to the giant. Just great.

They see his go-with-the-flow attitude, his tendency to jump into situations with every angle only half-thought out and considered, his cocky grin when he says “I’ll figure it out when I get there” and they think:
This man does not plan a single goddamn thing. This man has never come up with a plan in his life, let alone followed one to the end.

He hadn’t eaten enough in far too long, his circadian rhythm was totally wrecked, and he was riding the wake of a killer headache.
On the whole, though, not as bad as it could have been.Philza of the Perfodio-Creo flock was kidnapped by Sky, a Mimid who runs a coliseum where people watch sapient creatures fight each other for sport. Philza happens to have an entire crew of dubiously sane privateers eagerly trying to get him back. If they happen to pick up a stray deathworlder in the process, well, in Philza's defense, Techno flock-bonded with him first.
