It started after they returned from California, after Mike and El really ended it, after the Byers and Wheeler households combined. Since then, it’s been like how it once was in middle school. I’ve wanted to rewrite this for a long time, because I feel like I didn’t do good research and really wanted to make this more oriented in the angst of it. And how real the situation can be. I also wanted to make it more realistic, since Mike definitely wouldn’t have access to T.
And to make it juicier, I had Lonnie live so there can be ppl who beat his ass later.
Also, just generally, this is just for fun, because I need to keep myself busy. Seasonal depression has literally kicked my ass. -

After breaking up with his long-time partner, Steve Harrington moves in with his best friend, Robin. While he's thrilled to be there, he needs to get back on his feet. Robin has been working at a catalog-- modeling to put herself through college. She gets him a job, hoping he can do this until he gets his ducks in a row. While initially hesitant, Steve is surprised to find that he's good at this-- like really good at it. There's just one catch... he can't fucking stand the photographer. The guy is a total asshole. He's standoffish and rude, and definitely doesn't like Steve much either. Too bad Robin seems to like him and keeps inviting him out with them.

Summary
Will Byers recently moved to California with his family, in desperate need of an escape from his hometown where he was almost killed for being outed. After spending a week and a half moving in and unboxing, all 5 of the Byers need a break, and what better way to relax than spend a day at the beach?
But disaster strikes when Will swims a little too far and gets ripped out by a current. A lifeguard thankfully comes to his rescue before he can drown, and a spark immediately catches between the two teenagers.
Will, heart pounding from both almost dying and the cute black haired freckled boy who just invited him for a bite to eat later, must decide rather to gamble his luck in a chance of a relationship with his savior, or forget about the whole situation all together.But will the hate-filled society they live in accept the two boys, or will they be forced away from each other before they could even come together?

The radio static rang out through the silence.
Mike took a deep breath, running his hands over his knees before he spoke into the device. “Hey Will, it’s Mike.” His finger came off the button, letting the static fill the air again. “I know this is stupid and stuff because you’re dead. But I think this is also therapeutic for me, at least."
Or: Will Byers has been missing since November 6th 1983. Since then, his friends have fought monsters, bullies and government agencies. Will had been assumed dead for years, but when Hawkins faces a new threat they might just be brought back together.

A collection of campaign journals from my Savage Worlds Pinebox Middleschool TTRPG. Heavily inspired by various teen and kid horror and mystery stories. Whilst the main characters are tweaked in concept two of them are more or less Riley Anderson and Dariah Morgandorffer just tweaked to match my game. The story is a horror mystery first and formost, it deals with dark themes that middleschoolers should be nowhere near and since this is an rpg, the possibility of character death is possible. The campaign is very much on the lines of "the threat unseen" and the question is will the kids discover the threat before the threat discovers them? Will they become heroes that save Pinebox from itself or just become another set of missing kids that Pinebox conveniently forgets?
