Thor doesn't know how long it's been since he's been trapped in the same semi dark cell, on his own, midst no where. To be fair, he can't even remember how he got here or why he's in there. No one has come talk to him, or demand anything of him either. He can't stand up: the ceiling is too low and his legs are trapped in some sort of carcass. He just knows his throat is so parched it feels like it's covered in sandpaper and that his stomach is so used to hunger trying to digest anything would feel like trying to swallow poison. For all he knows; he's been left there for death.

The sun shines too brightly and too warm from early hours in the morning. That's just how it is: it's summer, it's August, and the weather has only been getting hotter every summer since he's been alive.
Peter awakens in sweat-soaked sheets, with a knot in his throat and a quaking stomach that have nothing to do with the heat. He squeezes his eyes closed, refusing to aknowledge he's awake. For today isn't any other day, and the dread inside him has been growing all week over the day that's about to start. Today, as much as he'd like to skip it, is Peter's birthday, and everyone around him has been wanting to celebrate it since they learned what today was gonna be.
OR; it's Peter's birthday and he has various compromises, but he's already falling apart before the day's even started, making a mess of everything that's about to come.
