Oh, fuck.
No, no, no, this can’t be happening. It just can’t. Because time loops obviously aren't real, they’re just a made-up fiction trope that Chim likes to talk about sometimes.
He definitely dreamed it! Buck must have dozed off for a second, even if that dream was far too vivid for his imagination, and he wouldn’t be so irresponsible while holding onto Chris.
That must be what happened, because the alternative means that Buck has died twice already.
And about to die a third time, seeing the wave already coming toward them.Or: Buck gets stuck in a time loop during the tsunami.

He gets to his feet, stumbles into the bathroom, and stares at his reflection.
His first thought is: Jesus, I used to look like a twink.
Then: Fuck my life.

Buck buries Bobby Nash in the year 2024 and wakes up back in the year 2018; he gets hit by a car, saves a girl’s life, and then promptly decides that if he’s really time-traveled, he might as well make the most of it.
It turns out to be a bit of a challenge.
