Summary
*Buck’s heart stopped, when he stared at the screen. The remote slipped from his hand, clattering onto the coffee table, the noise ringing in his ears. The room tilted, the air sucked out of it, his pulse roaring in his ears. “That’s…” His voice came out as a whisper, barely audible, his eyes locked on the screen where grainy footage showed a smoking wreck, flames licking at a crumpled plane, emergency lights flashing in the distance. “That’s his flight…”
“Details are still coming in, but early reports indicate the Boeing 737, carrying 115 passengers and crew, experienced a catastrophic failure during its final approach. It’s not yet clear what caused it yet, more to come on that later- Emergency crews are on the scene, but there’s no word yet on survivors.”
Chimney sat up, his beer forgotten, his face paling. “Who’s flight?” He murmured but he already knew what the answer was going to be.
“Eddie’s.” Buck hissed, drawing in a sharp breath that felt like glass. “That’s Eddie’s flight.”
OR

Summary
Eddie had been questioning his sexuality for months, years even. But now he was certain. He was one thousand and eighty-five percent certain that he was unequivocally straight.
There was no way around that. Sure, he got more out of looking at a man’s ass than a woman’s. And he got a little tingly feeling at the base of his skull when Buck touched him.
But after tonight, after the last couple of weeks… he can’t possibly be gay. Because tonight was the night that it became evident that Tommy was pursuing him, and Eddie almost threw up.
OR
Eddie convinces himself that he's not gay because Tommy pursuing him turned him off, and it drives Buck a bit crazy.

Summary
Buck kissed him for — for some reason. Eddie’s not really sure why. He can’t parse the hows and the whys of that right now when he needs to snap Buck out of a spiral.
“Buck, you need to calm down,” Eddie says. Buck just makes a miserable noise. “Can you look at me for a sec?”
“No can do,” Buck says, voice tight. “I’m too busy trying to figure out how to fake my own death.” Despite himself, Eddie snorts and Buck whirls around, affronted. “Eddie, I’m being so serious right now. This is one of the top most embarrassing moments of my life.”
Or: Buck kisses Eddie over a kettle. Eddie’s straight.
Eddie kisses Buck over pans. He’s — not so straight.

Summary
“I was just thinking about how I’d… y’know,” Buck shrugs. “How I’d get you out.”
Eddie blinks at him. “Of a house fire? You’d probably just pick him up,” he suggests.
“Both of you,” Buck stresses, an adorable, worried crease appearing between his brows. “If I had to get both of you out.”
Or, Buck's pretty sure he could carry Christopher and Eddie out of a house fire at the same time. He'd just really like the test the theory to make sure.
