Blade looked up from the clipboard at that, raising an eyebrow, and Tommy immediately remembered that a) this was a job interview, and b) he was literally at the heroes' base at that exact moment, so admitting to criminal activity - even in jest - probably wasn't the best idea.
Or: vigilante!Tommy is trying to get a job as a hero trainee. He has not consulted with anyone about this, and also has no idea how job interviews work

It's about a week before my thirtieth birthday, and that's like a turning point of sorts, y'know? So I figured I'd put together a little something to look back on.
"I wasn't completely sure how to set this thing up, but I figured I could just… tell stories. Figure it out as I go. It's not like my life is special or exciting or anything - hell, I sell insurance for a living, that's like- the opposite of exciting.
"Not like anyone's seeing this, though, so it doesn't really matter if it's interesting."
