Summary
“Buck?” Maddie says.
She’s standing far back, her arms crossed and her shoulders hunched.
“It’s gotten worse, hasn’t it,” she states.
“Maddie,” Buck says. “Please, not right now.”
“Have you at least talked to your therapist about it?” she persists. And that’s how he knows it’s bad. She never persists.

Summary
Buck’s knuckles have gone white against the steering wheel. The car smells like oil, metal, and blood.
“I’m not going to ask,” he says, voice cutting through the silence. “But just one thing.”
Eddie finally turns his head, and Buck sees the blood on his face drying in the shape of a fingerprint.
“Is this your blood?”
“No,” Eddie says simply.
Buck breathes in, exhales, nods once. “Okay.”
He shifts the car into drive. The victims weren’t strangers. Their faces are familiar — courtrooms, call-outs, a history of hurting people who couldn’t fight back.
And when the bodies start turning up, the line between horror and relief blurs.Bookmarked by CryInGold

Summary
“Hey Chris! I brought you guys some-” The words die in Buck’s throat as he takes in the scene before him. Chris and Aiden are sitting on Chris’s bed, backs up against the headboard, tangled closely together. One of Chris’s legs is draped over Aiden’s lap, as his best friend’s palm holds it in place on his thigh. If they were any closer, he’s pretty sure Chris would be completely in the other boy’s lap. But, it doesn’t seem to matter that they aren’t, because Eddie’s fourteen-year-old has his fist buried in Aiden’s light blue t-shirt, tugging him closer as they kiss. Buck would say making out, but it’s much tamer than that. No tongues, just gentle presses of lips, between giggles.
At least, that’s what they were doing until Buck drops the entire bowl of popcorn on the floor, alerting Chris to Buck’s intrusion. His smile falls as he squeezes his eyes shut and mutters a quick, “shit,” that Buck doesn’t even have time or the brain power to punish him for, before he groans, “Hey, Buck.”
OR
When Buck walks in on Chris kissing his best friend, Aiden, Buck and Chris settle in for an overdue conversation about love, family, and being brave.

Summary
When he goes back to the main screen, he sees another woman, one who was admittedly less intimidating. He taps the check mark and gasps when the next photo appears. It's just a man's hands, big, crossed at the wrists, veins protruding as he grips a sleek, black cane tightly in his hands.
Fuck. When did hands get so hot?
Buck scrolls down to the bio quickly, and frowns when he finds it's pretty simple.
"26, experienced Dom.
Dominant"--
Connor signs Buck up for a BDSM-based dating app.

Save the Date: Evan Buckley & Tommy Kinard
May 17, 2027 — Los Angeles, CA
Formal invitation to follow.He stared.
The letters didn’t blur, but something in his vision tunneled anyway. The room dropped into a kind of muffled quiet he hadn’t felt in years. Like standing at the edge of a blast radius.
It wasn’t a letter. It wasn’t a memory. It wasn’t an explanation or a question or an apology.
It was a declaration.
And all Buck had needed was an address.
Eddie sat with it in his hands. He didn’t move. Didn’t blink. He just… existed, like something caught between time zones—like the Eddie who had been Buck’s best friend in LA and the Eddie who had quietly stopped texting back in Texas had collided and left behind this shell, sitting at a kitchen table with something that looked like closure in his lap.
OR-
Eddie's been in El Paso for two years. The distance was supposed to help—give him space to breathe, to forget. But when Buck asks for his address and a save-the-date shows up in the mail, everything Eddie’s been trying not to feel crashes back in. Buck’s getting married. To Tommy. And Eddie can’t stop thinking about everything they never said.Series
