Summary
New York City 1889
Nakahara Chuuya ran away from his stifling adopted family five years ago to join a circus as a trapeze artist under the stage name Icarus. He's made quite a name for himself but more importantly he's found freedom in the air, which is something he never had in the gilded cage where he lived before.
Dazai Osamu is just a kid from Harlem. The son of recent immigrants, he's had to work for every opportunity he's had. Though he dreams of Broadway he hasn't had his big break yet and mostly works one-off gigs at clubs and performs in small productions. He also performs in the circus as an acrobat in the hopes that even though it's a placeholder job the skills he's learned will be valuable for later auditions. Dazai truly believes that if he works hard enough he'll eventually attain his version of the American Dream that his parents were promised.
When Dazai and Chuuya meet by chance both of their worlds are changed forever. Could the American Dream be closer than they thought?

Dazai has been homeschooled his whole life. Until his adoptive father Mori goes on an extended vacation and leaves Dazai at Yokohama Private High School as a boarding student.
Dazai isn’t sure what to expect, except that he doesn’t plan to be at the school for very long.
And then he meets his hot-headed roommate, Nakahara Chuuya, who flips his world upside-down.
