Summary
Everybody knew Potter. James Potter. The loud, the funny, the sunshine of the Gryffindor tower. But what nobody knew, or at least didn't take seriously, was the fact that his last year in Hogwarts he'd spend trying to win over the younger Black.
Yea. Sure. They set up a 'date' for them, but nobody seriously thought that it would work out.
It was Sirius who came up with the idea to convince his bright, golden retriever best friend into going out with his brother, 'to help Reggie go outside and connect with reality for a bit', and Regulus's friends coaxed him into giving it a shot because, 'you'll like him, Reggie', 'he's nice', 'it's for your own good, and besides, we all will watch over you and if something we'll beat his ass up '. But what neither of the parties considered was the fact that James was like an oversized puppy- if he liked someone, he'd cling to them 24/7 and mostly likely try to attach themselves on the hip.
And that's how Reg ended up with a boy, who was about a whole head taller, following him around like lost puppy.Bookmarked by EvilPemberly

“You’ve been here for TWO days. How the hell is your dorm already this messy?!” Regulus threw his hands up, gesturing wildly around the room. It was a chaotic sight—clothes were thrown across the floor, beds were left undone, and school supplies were scattered haphazardly across every surface. It was hard to focus on one thing amidst the overwhelming mess.
“Well, good thing you’re here to clean this mess, Reggie.” James grinned mischievously—bumping the Slytherin’s shoulder with his own.
“Don’t call me that.” Regulus deadpanned, his eyes narrowing slightly.
“Until next Saturday, I intend on calling you whatever I want! Would you prefer Sweetheart? Love? Baby?” James teased, his voice dripping with mock sweetness.
Or
Regulus thought his crush on James Potter was long dead - until a week of forced proximity brings it back to life. It should have ended there, but James is determined to help him reconcile with Sirius, making it impossible to keep his distance. A school year isn't nearly enough time to mend a broken family, or stop Regulus from falling all over again.

“Now why do you have so many shirtless photos of Eddie on your phone?”
Buck fumbled his cell like an amateur circus juggler at the sound of Hen’s voice, only catching it mere inches from smashing on the ground. He turned around on the station’s loft couch, narrowing his eyes at her delighted grin. “It’s rude to sneak up on people, y’know.”
“How am I sneaking? I spoke three full sentences to you before mentioning the ‘E’ word," Hen replied, biting into her apple. “So… what’s with the half-naked photos of Eddie?”
“He’s not half-naked! He’s got his uniform on,” Buck protested, a flush rising up the back of his neck.
“Hmm, last time I checked we don’t usually attend emergencies wearing only our turnout pants and suspenders,” said Hen, taking another bite of apple with a smirk.
Buck flopped his head back against the couch with a put-upon sigh. “They’re for the firefighter calendar submissions, okay? We’re helping each other out.”
Or: 5 times Buck & Eddie wilfully ignored the underlying tension between them & 1 time they couldn’t, featuring opposite tropes.

A potion gone wrong results in Sirius being turned into his five year old self, and the marauders have to look after him until Slughorn brews an antidote. The only issue is that he wants his estranged brother Regulus helping too, because he's five and in his mind they're still best friends.
