He could have been anyone else. He’s not even sure how he got here, or when it started—the rubble crashing down on him or childbirth, he can’t tell. It’s not like “remembering your past life” came with a guidebook, or, hell, even a brochure. He’d have liked a brochure.
If there was a Death or a God out there, it had a sense of humor, putting him once again into an orphan with barely anything to his name. Not even a ditzy grandmother to take care of him.
At least he still got to wear orange.

He's Ash Ketchum. She is Ash Ketchum. She just woke up as Ash Ketchum and now she's a he, and ten years old, and today is the first day of his journey.
(Ash Ketchum wakes up with the memories of an airheaded nineteen year-old Pokemon nerd inside his head. There are unintended consequences.
