A small something that has small black hairs poking out, and little, tiny fingers. His eyes slowly went wide at the sight of Wei Ying holding the small bundle in his arms.
He barely even hears when Wei Ying speaks, with that edge of nervousness to his tone.

That was more than two decades ago.
Now the very sight of a water ghoul within several li distance from Lotus Pier was an occurrence that was enough to spark alarm among the cultivators. After the years of intense purging and delivering restless souls to the afterlife, little to no demonic energy could be found.
