Diluc returns to Mondstadt after his 3 years away, when reestablishing himself into the Mondstadt’s norm once again, he noticed people sneaking glances of pitiful looks. He had at first ignored them, but with time the glances grew into stares and he wondered if his fathers death had that much of an impact on everyone as it did to him to the point they stand to whisper his family name along with his estranged brothers name
But he does wonder sometimes what his estranged brother was up to, the letters that had usually bugged him in the first year he was away had stopped abruptly without news, but perhaps the ongoing isolation and ignorance has something to do with things alike

Summary
After Kaeya and Diluc had their fight, Kaeya ends up running away to Sumeru where he studies in the Akademiya and becomes a doctor and lives his best life their with the Sumeru characters but after a while he decides to go see how Mondstadt is doing, with the company of a few others of course. On his journey he reopens doors he once closed and reunites with others he thought he had left in the past.

Summary
At the evening of the 18 diluc's birthday, he lost his father and his brother choose to reveal the truth. The truth was the cause of their tearing apart.
Following his injuries, Kaeya lost his memory, his relatives in Monstad help him to know a minimum his past despite the fact that he was almost immediately appointed cavalry captain after Diluc's departure.
He therefore leads a rather ordinary life despite his amnesia until the return of a brother of whom he knows nothing.
