Summary
After his awakening, Pure Vanilla came to understand that Shadow Milk’s motivations stemmed from a deeply wounded soul.
He can’t stop thinking about the moment they briefly became one—when he saw his past, and felt his pain and loneliness.
He can no longer go through with the original plan of sealing the beasts back into the Silver Tree. He wants to save Shadow Milk no matter what, and he’s willing to do anything to make it happen.
AKA: Pure Vanilla decides to travel to the past using forbidden magic in order to save Shadow Milk from his tragic fate—but, of course, it all comes with consequences. Seriously, this fanfic will have a sad ending.

His old prison stretched endlessly before him, every cursed inch exactly as he remembered—the same tree that had caged him for centuries, the same suffocating metallic air that had never quite felt like home.
...
His eyes snapped open to their shared bedroom, where Pure Vanilla's warmth had long since replaced the bitter chill of silver walls. But the phantom taste of metallic air still lingered on his tongue, a reminder of what isolation truly meant.
