    "Thinking about putting on one of the suits made Tim feel warm all over, happy like he didn’t remember ever feeling, but it flitted away the second Tim thought about the after. Going downstairs to see Bruce and Duke and Cass. Heading to the actual gala and seeing Dick and Babs. Reintroducing himself to his family.

    It all made Tim nauseous."

    Bruce’s expression softened. He crouched closer, lowering his voice. “You’re not in trouble. You mixed medication with alcohol. That’s all. You’re not the first person to make that mistake.”

    Tim gave a hollow laugh that dissolved into a cough. “Not—not a mistake.”

    “Shut up!" Damian shrieked. If he had been anyone but Damian, Tim would have said he sounded like he was about to cry. "You are self-centred and selfish and you make everything about you! Everything!”

    If Tim had been thinking more clearly, it might have registered in his brain that Damian was lashing out.

    “Selfish?” His voice had taken on a dangerous edge. The tension in the cave ratcheted up another notch. “I’ve been stuck being perfect. My entire life!”

    Damian rolled his eyes scornfully.

    Tim couldn’t do this anymore.

    OR:

    Tim is sleep-deprived, and as a result, Dick gets hurt. Damian is less than pleased. They argue, and Tim is just so, so tired.
