Summary
When they meet for the very first time, Kirishima isn’t too impressed with Bakugou. He finds the other boy brash, loud, and grating - like an unwelcome thunderstorm on an otherwise nice day.
Kirishima’s whole thing this year may be ‘friendly, approachable, likable dude who gets along with everyone’, but that doesn’t mean he has to be best friends with everyone. He just has to stay polite to his most irritating classmate, be respectful when they interact, and avoid him as much as humanly possible the rest of the time.
Or he could just accidentally fall in love with him instead. Yeah, there's always that option.

Kirishima forgot about the clearing entirely. All of it - the pumpkins, the squirrels, the acorns, the amber glass - none of it even remotely compared to the beauty of the boy beside him. Kirishima thought, at that moment, that he could be in a palace of golden things, and even then, nothing would glow so brightly or as wonderfully as Katsuki Bakugou.
Inevitable, indeed.

At first, Katsuki thinks it's a really stupid question. If he were going to die, why would it matter to him what he did with his last day? He'd be too dead to care. But it's a question meant to make 2-A think about regrets, and leaving things unsaid.
After some reflection, Katsuki realizes there may be a couple of things he'd like to say, after all.

“I'll try to control myself,” Eddie interrupts with a quip, a smirk. Fucking girls in Steve’s car, or anywhere else for that matter, isn’t going to be an issue, unless something pretty fundamental shifts in him.
Steve continues, completely ignoring Eddie, “You’ll wipe your feet. You’re not dragging dirt all over my car. No hitchhikers. No cutesy road games. No smoking in the car. I’m not paying for all the gas.”
“Ass, gas or grass, got it,” Eddie says, like he's taking this very seriously. He is not taking this seriously.

Summary
Eddie Munson, with no future left for him in Hawkins, grabbed his band, dragged them to California, and gave up everything for a chance at fame.
For the first time in his life, taking a risk paid off. Corroded Coffin shot to the top of the charts in a matter of months. Their concept album may have been inspired by Hawkins, but Eddie never had to think about that awful fucking town again.
Or at least, not for three years.
In 1989, after the last show of Corroded Coffin's "Nails in the Coffin" tour, its frontman finds himself speeding down the highway from Indianapolis back to Hawkins. Back home. To save the people who saved him back in spring of 1986.
He arrives just in time to see Steve Harrington rise into the air.
