Summary
When Bakugou stops hanging out with the squad, everyone assumes he's just going through one of his "episodes." He gets like that sometimes. His friends hate that they don't know how to help him, but Kirishima tells them space is probably what's best.
So they let him go and wait.
But when the days turn into a week and even Kirishima is getting left on read, as a collective group they start to get worried. Really worried. Usually Bakugou just needs a few days to get his head right and then he's back and making fun of all of them as if nothing happens. This time just feels different.

Keith went back to window-gazing, grateful that his mother hadn’t scolded him for not looking through the summer camp pamphlet more thoroughly. It was something he’d been planning to do with his father.
It was something he’d never get to do, now. One more entry in the ledger book of memories they’d never get to make.

A flash of sharp teeth caught Shoto’s attention toward the front of the room: Kirishima sharing a wide grin with Kaminari, his face as alive and expressive as ever. Kirishima was almost always in Shoto’s line of sight when they were in class - he had been for all three of their years here - and Shoto was grateful for that. He tried not to let it show, but he took most of his social cues from Kirishima, who always seemed effortlessly at ease among their classmates. He was a deep wellspring of positivity, too, and it was something he shared indiscriminately. Kirishima turned everyone in his orbit into a better version of themselves. Whatever situation they found themselves in, Shoto could count on Kirishima to respond in the best of all possible ways- with bravery, compassion, or contagious optimism. So Shoto watched him, learned from him. He let himself be warmed by Kirishima’s light.
He didn’t look away when Kirishima met his eye and arranged his features in another sunny smile.
He smiled back.
