"A story," Bruce repeated as neutrally as possible, but he knew Jason would be able to tell that he was bewildered. All his children were as attuned to his emotions as he was to theirs.
"Yeah," Jason said and when Bruce looked at him again, there was a dark, cheeky grin growing on his face. "I think you deserve to hear it."
"...If you think so."

Summary
Movie night in Wayne Manor is a common occurance. Normally, the movies range from cute animated films to live action thrillers, but on one particular occasion, National Treasure was the movie of choice. And showing National Treasure to a bunch of highly trained vigilantes with very little impulse control, extreme capabilities, and no collective braincells who are prone to boredom, is, of course, a mistake.
Or, how the batkids became international criminals, committed multiple counts of treason, discovered the existence of a couple of cults, took over an entire country, kidnapped a very important government official, were hunted down by both the Justice League and Interpol, fought cthulhu monsters, made Talia al Ghul laugh, and nearly gave Bruce an aneurysm. Not necessarily in that order.
All because they wanted to prove National Treasure wrong.

Chewing his lip, Tim looked down at Dick and shrugged. “If it makes you feel any better, I don’t have anything yet either. But I’m also very bad with birthdays and gifts, or so I’m told.”
“Jaybird, what did you get B?” Dick turned towards Jason with pleading eyes. “What do you give a billionaire who already has everything? Usually, there are one or two things he mentions he needs, but this year there’s just... nothing. Nothing!”

The Justice League look on with a mix of befuddled awe, like they’ve never seen a child dressed up like a traffic light before. Which they haven't. Bruce mentally steels himself as Dick clears his throat. “Why am I here, you ask? Well, when two people love one another very, very much-”
“You’re adopted.” Bruce says.
Or; Bruce lets Dick attend a Justice League meeting on the Watchtower. Bruce has regrets.

Perhaps someone should have reminded the Justice League of this, especially when they’re using billion-dollar, state-of-the-art technology to publish and edit thirst traps of their resident doctor, Bruce Wayne.
