Summary
Except, brute strength only works if you have enough physical strength for it to function. Bound muscles with no room to flex, blood loss, extreme exertion? Izuku couldn’t even summon the familiar buzz in his bones that told him One For All was active.
Instead, he became his childhood self, a small, weak version of himself that could do nothing but hope for salvation on rooftops and train tracks. Salvation in the form of a long sleep with no end, in the form of a quiet darkness that would envelop him.
“G-get out of here k-kid.” The villain growled. Izuku wasn’t a kid anymore, not by a long shot, but this villain was probably in his mid 50s, very much Izuku’s elder. “You’re just…just gonna g-get killed.”
“Your life…is just as valuable…as mine.”

OR: A new villain forces Izuku to choose between another captured villain, and himself. Katsuki is left to deal with the fallout.
