Summary
Armand and his son Daniel are the new family on the block—a difficult position for both, although they are used to moving around quite a bit. While Daniel faces difficulties in school, Armand is confronted with the loneliness of being a single dad and having a time-consuming job.
Things start to change when Daniel meets a student who's also new, like him. Claudia. She arrived with her dads Louis and Lestat in the city, ready to take over the world—or at least, find some friends. With Daniel, she gets exactly that. A friendship that will change all of their lives forever—because when their dads meet for the first time, sparks are starting to fly, turning into flames that can't be ignored. Will the two families work out their dynamics? Can a polyamorous relationship work like this, with two kids to include in decisions like that? -

Are Mozart and Armand kindred souls? Or perhaps, someone else?
Regarding the Warning: No Major Character dies suddenly or unexpectedly. The prologue sets it up.

Daniel can tell right away that something is deeply, unsettlingly wrong. And that’s when he realizes that Armand hasn’t moved his legs once in Daniel’s sight, which has been trained on him nearly the entire time. How long had it taken Louis to recover from his spinal injury?
“He had a lot more going on,” Armand wheezes. “But, to answer your question without consulting your abysmal recordings? Months.”
“Uh, they’re not so easily consulted at the moment,” Daniel says, trying to maintain his balance. It’s going to be a fucking miracle if he can get himself back on his feet, let alone haul a temporarily paralyzed Armand along with him. “I’m gonna let the head thing slide for the time being.”
“The head thing?”
“You. In mine.”
“How generous.”
“The way I see it,” Daniel says, “I’m your only ticket out of here if you’re in as bad a shape as I think you are. Tell me I’m wrong.”
