Athena took a breath, her expression unreadable for a moment. Then she said it. “I want you to marry my son.”
Eddie blinked. “What?” He stuttered.
“I know it sounds abrupt,” she said calmly. “But I’m not saying it without reason. I wouldn’t suggest it if I didn’t think it could work.”
“You want me to marry your son?” Eddie’s voice rose, his chair scraping back slightly. “Athena, I don’t need a new wife. O-Or husband. Or… whatever this is supposed to be.”
“It’s not about that,” she said, her voice firm but still gentle. “This isn’t about forcing you into something romantic or tying you down to someone you don’t know. It’s about stability. About protection.”

Eddie’s voice came low. “What are you saying?”
Buck backed away another step, like he could physically put distance between himself and that truth.
“I can’t do this,” he muttered, voice cracking. “I can’t stand here and explain to you how it felt when you touched me like I was something you wanted. When you made me believe that maybe... maybe we were finally on the same page.”
“Buck–”
“No,” Buck said quickly, shaking his head, the pressure finally breaking in his voice. “You forgot. You forgot everything. And I…I’ve been walking around like it was this giant, irreversible thing between us and you didn’t even know it happened.”-
Summary: Eddie and Christopher are finally back in L.A. Bobby retired. Henrieta appointed as the new captain. Chimney and Maddie welcome their new baby girl. And Buck is out to have fun with Ravi, trying to find a new connection and give his heart another chance after his heartbreak with Tommy.
