Summary
Gio had fallen into their lives at a point where the safety net had more holes than threads to hold. He was young, had the signs of a life hard won and fought through, but he tried. Absorbed absolutely anything his family would give him, even when it was nothing at all. Dark eyes, taking in any and all of the light he could just to find himself.
It was a tragedy in three parts just to watch him thrive off wavering candlelights and embers, wandering around the halls like a detective finding hints of some past crime.
Mikey squares himself. Finds that thread left in him that’s farther and farther away every day. Gio deserves the light, he can make some for him. He can.
Or: a series of standalone oneshots about Giorgio Hamato finding a home, getting adopted, and being loved back--not necessarily in that order. Set in both timelines.

Your hands still, a familiar panic looping a lazy noose around your throat. For a moment, you’re thinking about frozen tears and banana peels and your knife — before you remember that escaping conversations you don’t want to have aren’t that simple anymore. Time marches in an unending line now, one foot after the other, and it only goes forward.
“I’m eating.” You say slowly, trying to ride the line between truth and lie. You have eaten something, but the quantity would surely not be considered ‘enough’ by anyone with a modicum of sense.

And you…well, you’ll return to traveling, of course. Just like before. That’s fine. It’s what you’ve always done. It won’t be any different than it was before.You’re just glad that this story had a happy ending.
A moment of hesitation and a faint memory leads Siffrin to make a different wish at the Favor Tree. The party of saviors find their final quest goes much more smoothly than they might have anticipated.
This is not a good thing.

Zoro is absolutely pigging out and he is pretty sure his husband will kick his ass if he finds out.
He can’t help but imagine a small, cherubic, blonde haired, blue-eyed angel-devil hybrid sitting on his shoulder, nagging his ear off about eating such dense food after almost a month of starving, but considering he did exactly that, and didn’t implode or whatever, the angel-devil can go fuck right off.
Or, Zoro and Sanji are married pre-canon, and now its everyone's problem.
