One moment, Cleo’s crashing a plane into the Arctic, their breath held in their lungs and their hands firm on the wheel. Their cargo? Several nukes that used to be on their way to various major Western cities—their new target: the bottom of the Arctic Sea.
The plane plummets, nosediving towards the water. Cleo cuts the radio, frantic voices fritzing out. As they close their eyes, they see a figure in their mind, snickering at a joke they can’t remember. Etho.
