While the rest of the world is well on its way to recovery from a great cataclysm. Ven Aladar still feels its weight.
Focus more on the hunt and the duties placed upon her than processing all she lost. But on the insistence of her patron god, she left the path to a world newly connected to her own. A land that does not know her people, their gods, and best of all, they don't know her.
What she'll find, even her patron doesn't know. Maybe she'll find nothing of worth, just continue what she was doing in this new place.

In the form of a storytelling inspired by The Princess Bride, Izuku and Celeste retell the story of how they met, conquered the ARKs, and brought everyone as close to home as they could. Through the story they will be telling it to their adopted daughter, the transfers of 2-A and 2-B, and their students on Neo Ark as a form of bonding and amusement in this prequel to With Every Broken Bone (I Swear I Lived).
It is suggested but not mandatory that you read With Every Broken Bone (I Swear I Lived) to understand this prequel as some part/story breaks will coincide with the main storyline, though it won't throw you too out of whack if you don't read WEBB.

Light drifted through the canopy of the forest, basking the seventeen people in a soft, golden hue. One of the people stirred as the light hit his eyes, his tri-coloured parrot wings shifting as he moves to sit up. He can feel the soft grass underneath his hands, the chilly morning air rushing past through the dense foliage of the forest. Looking around at his companions he glances around, his gaze shifting over the people that surround him quickly. This must be another of the life games, but it seems nothing like the games they normally take part in. Perhaps the Watchers wished for a new, more... Exciting and entertaining game then the ones before.
This is a Life series and Ark crossover because I'm obsessed with dinosaurs and other things like that and I also love these funky little guys.
