Summary
This is a novelization of the Garten of Banban series by The Euphoric Brothers. I have done my best to rewrite the story into a lore-accurate, canon compliant, and comprehensible story. Any and all confirmed lore is used, and I have avoided taking any personal liberties unless absolutely necessary. Understandably, I have had to shuffle events around and remove some details, however, this is due to how different the medium of written word is to video games and has nothing to do with the quality of the games themselves. I have created a plain, vanilla backstory for the protagonist to ease the reader into the main plot, which involves inventing a child for them to lose in the first place.
This story will aim to lean away from the horror aspects of the GoBB series that it originally went for, and more toward the sci-fi genre, which seems to be its strong suit lore-wise. This story is not satire and aims to be an honest retelling of the game's events from the player's eyes.
Any new lore revealed that may impact previous writings will be edited. Writing these chapters takes a lot of time and energy so please keep in mind that updates will be very spaced out.

Garten Islands was once a popular theme park. A place where family and fun could be had all year round until tragedy struck and the islands were lost under the waves.
Or so everyone thought.
No one knew that the islands were there, now home to the mascots that were left behind and were building a life for themselves. And while everyone is content to stay on the island, there are still many ups and downs they have to deal with, memories that just love to pop up unannounced with trauma that simply won't go away. Worries of the near future linger in the back of the minds as new changes come, and simple living isn't as easy as one might think.
But at least now they had a chance at a better life out from under their human creators thumbs.

Once a worker for the company which owned BanBan's Kindergarten, which was used as a cover for a much more dangerous and much much more illegal Givanium mining company, MC has been dealing with the effects the Meltdown had on him. But his slow recovery is disrupted when missing person cases start popping up, and he can't help but notice how close they are in proximity to the Kindergarten.
So, impulsively, he leaves Brooklyn's house in the dead of night, taking only his wits, his old uniform, and an axe with him, and he returns to the Kindergarten to stop whatever it is that's plaguing the town around of it.**

Update: Chapter VII is out! The newest chapters are split into two parts (chapters 5 and 6.) Both Parts are now out. Rating has been bumped up to Teen+.
Stinger Flynn had grown to hate the adults of the facilty regardless of how he acted on the outside. When you, a lost parent, came into the picture after the disaster of Meet a Friend day, you were different than them. And you needed to leave.
As the story progresses the more he pulls you into dreams together to make you understand him. He didn't take into account that he's getting more attached to you in doing so. It bothers him deeply.
And with the plot getting more gritty, the two of you will have no choice but to face every single hurdle either together or separately. One of you becomes the anchor while the other becomes the rock in the foundation of your deep yet mutual relationship.
These all take place in the canon time line of Garten of Banban in Stinger Flynn's POV. The player is written mainly to be gender neutral.
