Summary

Her delusion is so powerful that she's physically incapable of seeing the truth, even when she follows him into the Batcave itself, leading to a comedy of errors that will test the limits of Terry's patience and Bruce's sanity.

A female 28yo human with normal life, job to go to, no outstanding skills, but a bunch of insecurities, is the only unlucky to be infected with an alien larva set to overwrite her mind and body within days. Driving her desperate quest to find a cure amidst battling memory loss and brain damage, alone, except for one friend, she overthinks everything, trying to do the right thing. Trust doesn't come easy, and deciding who to rely on becomes a battle in itself.
Instead of game's original companions, I took inspiration in individuals and organizations from my real life. If you recognize yourself here: take it as a compliment. I wrote this story because while playing I went through a storm of emotions and needed to put it into words. (Yes, it gets a bit emotional at times). I wanted to capture what it feels like when you have only one chance to decide. No saving, no reloading, no perfect outcome.
Game's side characters also appear; some are examined in depth, because their actions gave me no peace for months. -

Dean hits Sam. Dean does awful, demeaning things to Sam, and Sam knows he deserves them. Sam has no choice but to deal with it, because he knows Dean loves him, even if in his own twisted way. Even if he shows it funnily. Dean is the only one who so much as pays attention to or cares for Sam Winchester. So it's okay that Dean needs to hurt him. He's family, and the only support he has left. Plus, it's not like Sam doesn't love Dean back, because God he does. He loves him so much that he takes everything Dean gives him. Everything, because he's selfish.
