It was a reader’s habit, he supposed, to have a dark premonition about the actions of a character. When Kim Dokja read stories where main characters did something obviously wrong, he was such a reader that would oftentimes experience a second hand embarrassment and dread the future consequences.
...
But the marvelous thing about other characters - other people in the world, actually - was that they were not living Kim Dokja’s life. Naturally, they could do things that he would never dare dream of doing and get away without consequence.
Very clever AU that puts the characters in very different circumstances but preserves their dynamics very well.
