A photo of Barnes had been sent to him last night of him here, in Norway, after he’d trekked through basically all of Sweden on a similar trail. The blizzard had slowed his travel considerably – as well as the mountainous terrain and a GPS that kept giving him unusable roads – and hell, Barnes was almost definitely in the wind again now.
When his phone rings in his pocket, he doesn’t have to look to know who’s calling. “Hey, Steve,” he says, trying to keep the exhaustion and frustration out of his voice.
“Hi, Sam,” Steve says, “Are you driving still?”
“No,” Sam breathes, scrubbing his face with his free hand. “Finally found a motel. Gonna hit the hay, I guess.”
He can hear Steve’s frown over the phone, “You’ve been sleeping, right? You sound tired.”

Were you into guys or did young Sam really just flirt with everyone like that? Nobody, like, died horribly during the training part of this program, did they? Because these seem very unstable. And was it normal for the "Take My Breath Away" guitar riff to play every time we made eye contact?
He hadn't known, though, that Scarlet Witch from SHEIN would look into their heads and pull this horrible storyline out, so he just had to keep his head above the water long enough to get out of there.

It was the high oxygen alert that finally woke me up.
Bucky Barnes finds himself stranded on Mars, presumed dead, his crew and ship gone, with no communications and a Hab intended to last a month. Every ounce of his botany degree, engineering skills, and capacity to improvise will be needed to survive an inhospitable planet and see the love of his life again.
