Michael is bitten by a strange animal. He bandages the wound, hoping to put it out of his mind so he can get through his shift at Freddy's as smoothly as possible. As the night progresses, however, he is unable to ignore the obvious.

"Michael finished wrapping a bandage around his hand, and hurriedly switched his monitor to Pirate's Cove.
Foxy was still behind his curtain. Michael checked the time, and saw it was already 2 AM. At this rate—if Michael was lucky—it was possible the pirate fox would not make an appearance that night.
Michael’s attention then shifted to a set of heavy footsteps coming from his right. He closed the door, then turned on the light to confirm that Chica was indeed standing in the window.
She disappeared between flickers of light, and Michael felt a wave of relief. That is, until he felt a throbbing pain coming from his bandaged hand."

Following a phone call regarding Michael Afton’s childhood home, he and Jeremy Fitzgerald take a trip back to Hurricane to take care of it. Though, as they pass by an old Freddy’s pizzeria, which had long since shut down, they have an uneasy feeling and—against their better judgment—decide to check it out.
Important note for readers:
This is a canon divergent piece of work. While most past events that are canon to the story and lore are in it, certain events never happened. Michael was never scooped, Jeremy Fitzgerald survived the bite of ‘87, and the pizzerias didn’t continue after Fazbear Frights. Meaning that the glamrocks were never made and the mega pizzaplex doesn't exist. That being said, keep an open mind and please enjoy!Please note that I also kept changing the layout of the pizzeria throughout writing this, so it might be a little inconsistent.

Michael’s head snapped in a frantic shake, desperation making his voice come out ragged. “I’ve already done everything I could think of to make things right; what else is there for me to do?!”
The old man’s eyes glinted in the crimson light, ancient and unreadable. “Live,” he said simply. “Live, until you’ve learned what it means.”
Before Michael could even form another protest, a weathered hand pressed firmly against his back; in an instant, the surface of the lake split beneath him like torn silk, and the water—black as tar and thick as oil—rose up to swallow his scream.
He fell.
Or: Michael Afton gets a second chance at life in another reality… and does everything in his power to make sure it’s as miserable as possible. However, fate has other plans—and this time, it refuses to let him suffer alone.
