“Looks like we’ve got to swap.” The girl says, running up to them. “I’m Nancy.” She gestures to the man beside her who gives a two fingered salute and says, “Eddie.”
“Steve Harrington.” Steve introduces from beside her, using his full name like a total dork. Then he slings an arm around Robin, who takes that as her cue to give an awkward little wave.
“Robin.” She squeaks out from under Steve’s arm.
“How do we want to do this?” Nancy asks, carefully eyeing the four members of their group. And Robin knows she should open her mouth, suggest that Eddie go with her and Nancy with Steve, but she can’t seem to make it work. Eddie doesn’t look particularly like he’s into sports but he’s got muscles, so he must be strong, and Nancy looks so petite. Also beautiful, and Robin knows if she doesn’t function well around strangers in general, she is worse around pretty girls.
But then Nancy is speaking, stepping closer to Robin. “Us girls can stick together.”

Steve and Robin sign up to run the Amazing Race and don't account for the fact that Amazing Race is 35 seasons in and always looking for ways to mix it up. This years gimmick? A partner swap.

With a huff, Mike momentarily peels his eyes away from Mikhail’s confident–nay, imposing–posture towards Will, how his hand casually rests against Will’s arm as they sit at one of the cafeteria tables a few rows down.
And Will?
Well, Will isn’t exactly trying to dissuade any of these advances. No, ever since Hopper called in a favor and smuggled his buddy Dmitri and his family out of the Soviet Union and into the swirling hellscape that had become Hawkins, Mikhail Antonov has been positively enamored by Will Byers, and Will doesn’t seem to mind. He leans into Mikhail’s touches, calmly tries to explain any weird American things to their new peer–hell, they even have inside jokes now! Something will happen, and they’ll immediately lean in towards each other and begin muttering and laughing, like they’re kids in the back of class trying to entertain themselves to keep from falling asleep.
Just like how Mike and Will used to before monsters became real and physics regularly decided to go on vacation and let all hell break loose.

Summary
Displacement does things to a family, and time will only tell if those changes are good or not.
Dmitri Antonov, following his successful escape from Kamchatka, is trying to get his family safely to America. Yet, the venture proves to be much more difficult when he is faced with the reality that he was a prison guard at a secret prison, which causes issues for his family as the government isn't keen on just letting his 'death' be brushed aside. Mikhail, by himself, is successfully reunited with him, but the fate of the rest of his family is up in the air.
While dealing with the knowledge of what they were keeping in the prison and what happened in Hawkins, his son's arrival brings about new issues and cracks in the foundations of relationships he had overlooked for so long.
