No Sheikah - outcast or no - lived this long without an iron will. There were many moments after the calamity when he'd been sure that he'd receive word of Impa's death, but apparently supporting the hero was enough for the stubborn woman to live on.
He wasn't gifted with slumber like the Hero. He hadn't been given a second chance like the scientist. He was old. His bones ached and his back bowed, and when he wasn't defending the mines, he was completing menial tasks or recovering in Hot Springs. Perhaps, when his final days drew near, he should invite the old bat to tea.

This is a rewrite of my other Doom/Zelda fic, for many reasons. First, on the Zelda side, Tears of the Kingdom is out, while with the first fic, it wasn't even announced. On the Doom side, we now have Dark Ages. Though, I feel TOTK matters more in this context.
But that's not all. I was unhappy with how things were going last time. I was rushing Slayer and Goddesses. AND, last time I was almost going to write beat by beat. Just in BOTW, that would be too long, boring, and exhausting. Let alone what TOTK will bring to the picture. I also get to redo various other problems as well. -
