Techno gives himself to them in exchange for something: renown, his life, an escape route off a dying planet. It all seems the same after enough time, and this latest server is no different. The revolution that was supposed to come of it never did.

Wilbur flopped onto the couch, legs stretched out as he grabbed his phone.
“You get the smaller room which is on the left there.” Wilbur pointed to a small, narrow hallway that had three doors in total. “The bathroom is across from your door. Rent’s due on the first.”
Dream raised a brow. “That’s it? No interview? No rules?”
Wilbur turned on the television in front of him with a remote. “I don’t care what you do as long as you pay your share. Just don’t touch my stuff.”
Dream considered that. No fake niceties, no over-the-top friendliness. Just two people coexisting. It was perfect.
“Alright, deal.” Dream said. “Should I come back tomorrow morning with my stuff?”
Wilbur waved him off. “Sure, sure. I’ll also give you a copy of the keys tomorrow too.”
It was almost too perfect.
He should’ve known there was a catch.

So when the fifth hero in the order returned, panicking about the new Vigilante , even though Fundy was known for his calm and collected demeanor . Blaze and the 404 realized the Syndicate was no longer their only emergency concern.When the Angel of Death learned of the appearance of a new Vigilante, he didn't care and saw no reason to hold a meeting with the Syndicate members. But the meeting was held when the Hero Organization announced that the newcomer was competing with Blade in the power rankings.
Or Dream is a person with psychological strength after escaping from "something" and decided "for some reason" that the hero organization does not deserve its position and that the Syndicate is something hopeless, so he must benefit people with his superpower, as the purpose of his existence is to be used for something .

His hip bumps up against the driver’s seat door as he leans against Wilbur’s neatly-polished car without a care in the world. "You know the main event is a cash day, right? It'd be humiliating to lose out on.. thirteen, fourteen.. fifteen grand?"
Wilbur’s eyes seem to light up at the numbers, and he has to fight down a grin to keep his poker face. Quackity returns the expression.
The other racer's posture is casual, but it's filled with tension. Excitement? Anticipation? Anxiety? Alexis—not Quackity, the racer, but Alexis—can't get a single read on him in the slightest, save for the smile dancing on his lips. With a shrug, Wilbur feigns flippancy. His hands are trembling. "If it means I get to show you up, I'll gladly race you on a proper bet."
“Is that so, Wilbur?”
There’s no hesitation in the reply.
“Naturally, Quackity."

That shift started off normal enough, nothing different from a usual night; drunk people stumbling in looking for more alcohol and then harassing the (probably) sixteen-year-old behind the bar. They, of course, didn’t know he was sixteen. Even if people didn’t know him as nineteen, drunk people rarely cared about your age. It was as disgusting as it sounded. Then it got... weird. Well, Tommy didn’t know if weird was the correct wording but it got Tommy and Sam to exchange a what the fuck is this shit glance.
