THE FIC EVER….. there’s actually no exaggeration here i fucking adore this fic i want to inject it into my bloodstream.
the writing: intense longfic trippy style op has great taste (im obsessed with how they integrate specifically chosen lines of Media into the fic iykyk goddamn brilliant-hilarious-devastating), great dialogue, delish internal narration, things HAPPEN so much that you learn new things on every reread. and the character interactions— the choices this author makes everytime are. adjhdkdhdksj. I go insane. [ex. wheeljack’s friends are of, uh, convenience to put it mildly but it’s hilarious how. fucking. much. sir-not-appearing Starscream personally has beef with all of them. …plus how they all manage to have crazy beef with each other cannot be understated. I mean-] just read the goddamn fic okay.
the starjack!????? i mean why else do you need to read it. but this is STARJACK starjack. starjack with umami and cayenne and cocoa and molasses drizzled into the most flavorful not-washed-out pale-imitation romance like these two have Things going On. hngggh love it when they get to be weird and intense about each other while still being scary-dangerous and anxious and guilty and sometimes genuinely frustrated w/ one another. picture a wet cat but it’s a 30-foot-tall killing machine. but also hopelessly in love lmao <3. duality.
!!! no spoilers and you know I’m primarily here for starscream and only enjoy Windscream with a Very Specific dynamic. but this fic checks like… a fuck ton of my boxes. windblade’s pov is amazing (and also, possibly my favorite to Observe starscream through lol) and so the reversal later is jaw-droppingly-smart-good-biteable. and her arc. is fascinating in this series.
i just took a hit of => barely semi-established/semi-pining wheeljack + Platonic ideal of windscream + situations that drive Starscream to Confront this & adjacently drive him to the Brink (of making Starscream-y decisions, but also other things) and am immediately sweating for more. jesus it’s my cocaine.
tbh i am ridiculously genuinely absolutely intrigued and amazed as to just how op plotted this out and actually wrote it because it is long and has about a billion moving parts. i am besotted and slightly terrified (for reference: picture the way someone looks after they see a biblical angel.)
anyways this is fanfic the same way The Divine Comedy is fanfic. artform!!!!

Summary
Branded as a terrorist of Cybertron and sentenced to death for trying to uncover the truth about her Titan, Windblade finds that her only savior is the one who had been set to kill her; the so-called Sparkcracker, a mech who was condemned and twisted into a machine made to slaughter people like her in the worst way imaginable. Her scheduled execution goes wrong, and she escapes with the Sparkcracker into Cybertron's winter night. When she discovers his true identity— that of Starscream, the fallen prince of Vos— she realises that he is her only hope for rescuing her friends, stopping Rattrap and his mysterious plans for Metroplex, and returning home in one piece.
Home, however, is not as perfect as it once seemed. While Windblade forges new alliances and attempts to keep herself going for the sake of Starscream and her fellow Camiens, the Mistress of Flame prepares to make her move against Cybertron, knowing that Chancellor Rattrap will respond in kind. An intricate dance of politics and greed is carrying itself across the galactic stage while the Camiens and their few allies stumble to stay alive... because Windblade's execution was meant to start a war; a war that would see only one world surviving.

7 million years ago, the latest blow to gender on Cybertron is dealt by the rising Functionist tide, stirring an Arcee struggling with loneliness and aesthetic dysphoria into enraged action to help bots in the Hadean System across the aesthetic spectrum save their transformative glory and stories… in the process, she finds aid from the scientist Jhiaxus, who also offers xem a new reformatting surgery to let her spark do shaping with CNA editing help. Thus begins a new chapter in her life as a founding member of the expansion of what would later be called the Anti-Vocation League alongside her beloved partner and fellow old person Codexa, while grappling with her own growing pile of pains and traumas. As the millennia carry on and she heads to space, xey eventually meets Anode and Lug in the stars, and some dear moments near the present all the way through to events after Transformers: Optimus Prime #25: Post… where she helps some gender expansive bots, and with help from Aileron and xeir pals she finally gets some answers and closure to xeir own self, and has a reckoning with forces pitted against her for millions of years. The years after are not what she expected during most of her life prior, and xey is glad for them…

The Autosignet Cycle is primarily set around spacefaring peoples of the Milky Way, particularly transformers and their friends, acquaintances, enemies, and those they encounter on their journeys. They share a long history of autonomous allied storymaking together, as polities, communities, and individuals, questioning, iterating, realizing, actuating, and transforming, with a particular historical constructed value on transness and it’s aesthetic parallels among many other things. This view of expansiveness is in solidarity with other aspects of life has faced trials against reactionary cycles of violence again and again, braved through wisdom, love, and existential hope. It has been particularly tested before and now faces Decepticon stratocracy that rejects the very pluralism it claims to protect. The Autobots respond with embracing absurd hope and love through new technologies and practices of reflection and relation to each other and past their universe, and being willing to reconcile and fight for their new and old knowledges and generations. Even if they win against the various menaces to liberty, what price will they pay, and how will they grapple with what lies after? A story of family, combat, peace, and love.
